Tim Noble and Sue Webster, 'Feinschmecker', Limited Edition

Tim Noble and Sue Webster have produced an original lithograph in two parts, entitled Feinschmecker or ‘fine detail’.

The work was created in 2013, when the artistic duo were in residency at the Edition Copenhagen print workshops. After blindfolding one another, Tim and Sue began drawing portraits of each other using black crayons. In order to perfect their mark making, they were provided with a ‘test’ slab on which to try out the different sizes of crayons.

The artists describe the marks on the ‘test’ slab, from which Feinschmecker was printed, as being ‘far more honest, the marks were made without any preconceived outcome. It was a beautiful mistake.’
